Can non-alumni marry in the trinity Chapel in Dublin?
No, weddings at Trinity College Chapel are reserved for alumni, staff, or current students. At least one partner must hold a Trinity degree or be part of the College community. Permission is arranged through the College Chaplaincy, while the Events Team can advise on civil ceremony options.
What permissions are needed?
At least one of you must be a Trinity graduate, staff member, or student.
Weddings are arranged through the College Chaplaincy and must follow a Christian ceremony led by an ordained minister.
For the marriage to be legally valid in Ireland, you’ll also need to give three months’ notice at a civil registration office and have a registered solemniser present.
