HOW TO GET THERE
Flights to the Amalfi Coast
When it comes to reaching the Amalfi Coast, the nearest international airport is located in Naples.
However, many international travelers opt for larger airports such as Rome or Florence.
You can easily book an internal flight to Naples from these cities to continue your journey.
Travelers from the US or Canada will likely find the most economical fares flying into Rome or Milan.
From there, a short internal flight connects to Naples.
For travelers from Australia and New Zealand, booking well in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons when prices tend to soar and cheaper fares sell out quickly.
Trains to the Amalfi Coast
Considered one of the most tranquil modes of transportation, train travel offers a scenic journey from point A to B.
Depending on your starting point, you can travel from the UK through France and onward to Italy, eventually connecting to the internal rail network.
Trenitalia, Italy's national train company, offers routes connecting travelers across the country to Napoli Centrale, the gateway to Sorrento, one of the most direct routes to the Amalfi Coast.
Buses to the Amalfi Coast
Arriving in Naples or Rome, there are numerous shuttle-sharing options like the Positano Shuttle, which picks up travelers from the airport and drops them off in Positano.
Some tours combine local transport and private transfers along the Amalfi Coast, included in the tour package.
Independent travelers can also opt for car rentals if they're confident in their driving abilities.

With their photographer capturing every intimate moment, they moved on to their planned big photo shoot along the Amalfi Coast. Their journey took them to iconic spots like the cliffs of Positano, where pastel-colored houses seemed to cascade down to the sea below.
As the sun began its descent towards the horizon, Lorenzo and Elena embarked on a magical sunset boat trip along the coast.
